Politics. You might not remember this, but it wasn't always a dirty word. At Bobiks, we want to bring politics back into the public domain, where issues affecting real people in their daily lives are considered and debated in an atmosphere of respect. To this end, we're launching a series of political debate shows, where representatives of political parties and invited members of the community are offered the opportunity to address local concerns and explain their policies and priorities. The event will be free to attend, but ticketed. Audience members will be invited to submit questions for the guest panel, whose composition will be announced shortly. Our first panel discussion with have the Newcastle Central Constituency as its main focus, though issues affecting us all locally, nationally and internationally are all up for debate. Pub Politik. Real politics for real people, discussed in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Panelists confirmed so far:
Chi Onwurah (Member of Parliament, Labour Party)
Taylor Pitman (Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Green Party)
