Michael Cassidy is a Glasgow-based singer/songwriter whose brand of acoustic folk is characterised by his fragile, tender voice and intimate lyrics - all delivered in his distinctive Scottish brogue. Michael sites a great variety of influences including folk heavyweights Rufus Wainwright and John Martyn, along with the Traditional-Scottish music he was raised on. In support of the release of his debut album ‘ My Electric Heart’ in 2015 - Michael toured extensively including support slots with Ben Howard, Nathaniel Rateliff and Amy MacDonald. Michael was also awarded the Gerry Rafferty songwriting prize in 2012 for his track ‘The Men Who Stood Beside Me In The War’.

Skylark Song are husband and wife duo Emma and Alex McRae. Their second album May The Hunter Retreat was released in November 2015 on Roseberry Records. Having released their debut album to critical acclaim (**** R2 Magazine, May/June 2014) their sophomore album heralds a shift into a more contemplative and intricately layered direction; one that explores a darker and more haunting world. Working with acclaimed producer Adam Sinclair (The Unthanks, Sharks Took The Rest) and featuring talented musician’s such as Bellowhead’s Rachael McShane, ‘May The Hunter Retreat’ transports the listener through a rich, musical soundscape.

Skylark Song create haunting English folk with a strong contemporary drive. Their music paints an evocative and vivid musical landscape, albeit with a more melancholic, bleaker undertone. Described as playing “the kind of folk music that feels like it’s been constructed from hedgerows and wild flowers” (The Crack Magazine, July 2013) they have established themselves as a vibrant and unique part of the UK acoustic scene.
